Maps that suck

OK guys, there's a ton of maps on the server. Not every one is a gem. Are there any ones you want removed? If I get a consensus, I will consider removing some.
Don't say maps like Bitchslap, because as much as *I* even hate it, I know some people love it, so I just can't remove it.
Let me know.

It is hard to say because some people want to play DM games in ONS and other want to have strategy. I personally would recommend only one of each type. For example, there have been a couple of times where Dreamus and Dreamus 32 were selected pretty close to eachother. The could mean 2+ hours of Dreamus which gets old after a while.
The same thing goes for Air-Mars and Air-Mars-Gorz. I find the original Air-Mars a pain because once you get a hold of the middle ship, it is near impossible for the other team to come back. The Gorz version is actually pretty good with new node link up besides the cool vehicles. Though, I never know what I am jumping into.. ;)
I think that Dria has the same problem. I would keep the 32p versions of the maps and drop the smaller original ones.
Again, everyone is going to have different opinions, so it is hard to please everyone. I hate the tank me up map, but a lot of people seem to like it. Hopefully, that new version will be a little faster moving.

TankMeUp-EE is broken and got an upgrade (TankMeUp-Gorz); we definitely don't need 3 TankMeUps, drop that one.
MantaWar or whatever it was is just CRAP. I had half of DW on and they were like "it's crap". I think you're going to get a lot of demand to get rid of that crappy map.
Did Gorz redo Acerbus yet?

I have to agree on the manta wars going and the multiple versions of maps.
ship dock wouldnt bother me either way.
and Kitty you mean I have to download another tank me up,, goodness my UT folder is already 8.2 gb's.
/jk Where does he have the download avaible at?
OH and as for bitchslap I love it after a good stratigic map, just wish they would take out the deemer sor that it could be won quicker, I think that it just prolongs the map. /imo

Yeah drop EE. That minotaur is too much on the core of that map.

killrob - not sure, but it's already up on the server, just pull it with UTCache. :)
Hornet: I think ShipDock is one of those ones that would incite riots if we ditched it, though it would be nice at times.
Regarding Bitchslap: Hey Gorz, do you have any ideas how we could shake things up on that map, make it a bit less of a deadlock? I'd suggest replacing the tanks with something; the laser turrets, IMO, are fine if you know what you're doing, though I had a neat idea: replace 'em with plasma turrets. Foot guys can dodge plasma turrets reasonably easily. Vehicles still get hosed just as badly, and they get that secondary shot that makes it a lot harder to camp. Also, perhaps replace the turrets in the galleries with machine guns...

Agreed on the duplicates. Original Air Mars, and tankmeup-ee are gone.

Bitchslap is fine how it is. Maybe an extra version with ageis were the tanks are, i like the idea of the mg turret. Also 4 more deemer placements, and low grav :).

I played a map the other day called Meadowland and it sucked hardcore! Basically it's just one sprawling mass oh foothills with a few mantas and fewer avrils. Dismal. I hate Tempura! Just too damn big. I think I recall some talk about reform but I don't know whether or not action was taken. Valarna's also extremely large, I've never liked it. All-Fall-Down stinks; overall map structure and vehicle placement just doesn't work well. The ClassicEvilDeadRedux maps are just practice for manta-whores. Acerbus is another obese map.
It could be that I have just had awful experiences with these maps or it could be that I just enjoy tighter, infantry maps. lol, Simply put, these are maps that Curly_Oxide doesn't like. And Killrob, tsk, tsk. My UT2004 directory is 15 gigs. Mostly because my little bro likes to play on funky-ass servers with five minute downloads.
