I need all interested DWs and SVAs to respond to this in this thread.

This idea has been floating around for awhile. I am going to get this going to see what night would be the best time to have this match. I will start by asking which day of the week everyone would prefer. I am aiming for an 8:30 CST start time, unless there is an overwhelming response for a different time.
I have a feeling the poll will result in a Friday or Saturday scrim probably around 8-10pm CST. My target date is June 30 (Friday).


Here are a list of maps to choose from. I am not a map guy, so offer up any suggestions of maps outside of this if you want. Be sure to throw in 5 maps you would like to play, other wise you cannot complain if we end up playing 3 versions of Dreamus :P

I will look through the posts and come up with 3 maps. This will play out similar to a TWL match, where there is one 15min round of each map. No nukes, normal vehicles, and default link setups.

Vote in the poll, post which maps you would like to play in, and provide any other general information. I am not sure which server this will play on yet, so I do not know what the max players will be. Unfortunately, not all will be able to play, whether it be bad timing or simply to many people. I will ultimately decide which SVAs are playing this first match based on how soon you’re put your post in. Depending on how this goes it might happen more often.

I'm probably forgetting a few things, so anything can change at any time. Please provide any feed back to make this better.

I would love to participate, but my playing time is limited to whether my wife needs the puter for homework or not. Unfortunately, I don't have UT2004 for my MAC and it is underpowered compared to my PC.

I'd like to suggest some Titan maps instead of the stock ones (unless you are talking about Dawn.)

None of the base maps were really designed with 32p in mind. They are all a little too small.

Volcano High might be a good addition. And I think Dreamus would be a blast! :evil2:

And TBH, picking a base map will give us even more of an advantage, as we practice those all the time. We would be starting fresh on the others just like the SVAs.

At any rate Dreamus is a must, PLEASE
I voted Saturday but I'm good with Friday too.
If on another day i would need a weeks notice so I could take the day off from work.

I could play for the SVA's side if yall want.. or if they come out short on people.. I think it would be so interesting.. and i wish it wouldnt be the last match.. of that kind.. But the SVA's need a Vent Server and the Clients to comunicate.. they need to borrow also a captain from DW to choach them a little... else DW's will have also that advantage.. I think this match needs some more advertising.. maybe on the game Server? ..

I'll play. I know im not the greatest but im still a decent player.

And as long as the match is on a Fri or a Sat i have no problems staying up untill stupid hours of the morning to play, (damn time difference)

As long as Dreamus is in the list some where im not too picky about the maps :cheese:

I'd like to play, And dreamus (32p version) should definately be in that list of maps.

The server can handle another instance of 32p, so that's not a concern. I'll make the server as big, or as small as I need to. I'll also offer up our Ventrillo server for you guys to use for the match and give you guys your own channel.

Since we're going through all the trouble of organizing this, I think we should plan on best of 5 maps, but play them all no matter what happens.

Timing sounds good to me. Frii or Sat will work for me. 9 or 10pm EST start time works best for me.
