The files you need to map for Monster Evo are in your game cache. I say this every time someone suggests making a map for Monster Evo -- You can make your map almost entirely without relying on Monster Evo files. Worry first about getting the layout and objectives done. You can do virtually everything except kill X monster(s) objectives without needing to uncache anything. Once you've got a framework you can add monster spawners. I highly recommend looking at existing Monster Evo maps to see how particular things are set up -- Forgotten Fane for example was a map where I was learning how to map for ME and has a lot of straightforward examples you can follow or just copy and paste into your own map.

Same goes for Cubes4All - Basic EVO map with simple objectives.
I agree with Wail on monsters. I make a map about 95% of the way before I even add monster spawners (though I have ideas on paper).

Hello,
I apologies for being MIA last week. I've been concentrating on a separate project.
Tonight, I'll work on a basic video tutorial, and I'll assemble the sample packages. I'll make another post here when YouTube publishes the video.

The video tutorial will have to wait. I got the video recordings, but now I just need to assemble it. I'm certainly not going to do it using Windows Movie Maker.
Anyway here's a download link for Monster Evolution Sample Package version 2.34

thanx for the advice, and i tried to follow it, but I cant seem to follow your instructions X3, i do not know how to do that, i looked in my UT2004 Cache directory, and its systm directory, but could not find anything indicating that it was the files from th server, if you could be any more specific, please do so ^^

I've decided to cancel the video tutorial primarily because the old monster spawner will become obsolete compare to the new one I'm working on. I'll post a tutorial in how to use the new spawner after all elements have been tested on AS-Abyss.
The new spawner should be even easier compare to the old one.

do you have a rough estimate on when it will be available? I am VERY keen on getting my map shipped out because it is awesome.

There isn't an estimated time since I am very busy at this time. I'll work on it whenever I can.
