I found a little program

you set where you want it (I use the right middle), set a hotkey to activate and it'll show who's talking. set how long you want whatever it is to stay on the screen. also set another hotkey to show who's in the channel.
beware it's alpha so either it's doomed to break or if anything does break, blame will have to be put in the same category as taking down a node with a handgun.
