Yes...my brain is starting to work again..albeit...tis slow. I won't be able to make the Invitational on the 18th... but I'll be rooting for ya'll. :cheers:

Yer I wish I could say ill definatly be there but the state of my computer is making it look less and less likely =( stupid computer !!!

Building a new system... anyone had experience with the amd x2 4200 + 2.2 dual core ?

looking for some thing that will handle ut2k7 im hoping this should do the job with a decent graphics card.

At this point purchasing a core2duo system would be a smarter choice.
However I'm not very familiar with your system, or budget to see if its more logical to go AMD. Most likely your better off with intel (now at least).

If you have an existing AMD mb and ram you can upgrade pretty cheaply right now. There are lots of deals to be had.

But, like Hornet said, if you are going to build from scratch, C2D is the way to go right now. Or you can hold off a bit longer and get the four core versions.
