map: Terra (version 'a')

i took ONS-Terror, chopped out the middle pyramid and a couple of side areas, and am almost done tweaking it. I was placing pickups and decided to create some prefab packages that i'll use from here forward and ued decided to blow up a couple times on me.
I'm not fuckin with it right now. i'm goin to a pals to watch the game. i'll prob finish this map tonight after the game with ~:30 left to work on it.
I called it Terra because it makes more sense than Terror . . . which was just this side of dumb as hell.

Imo the lighting may need some work, a little bit of TLC (for example the lava and water look like ass). Hope to see the map playing soon.
Edit: nvm on the lighting so much it was my over bright settings. I'm curious to see what you added in some of those empty building along the side. a mine layer wouldn't be so bad on this map since is just that open.

i'm in a bit of a quandry here. . .
there's a ceiling in the map where ppl can fall off to their death so i'm undecided what to do about it.
should i . . .
1) do nothing and leave it as a caveat of being able to spam out of reach.
2) put up a blocker/rail to prevent idle footstepping?
and another thing... i was considering ripping the skybox from space pyramids . . .

If you really care about the falling off to your death. you can alter the main physics volume of the map. The modification would be altering the air resistance (terminal velocity) thus slowing your fall and damage taken. This would only impact falling and nothing else. Or you could just make a separate physics volume for this specific section.
Don't forget we do have a translocator.
Anyway as for the sky box, it would be a good idea. My only issue would be how the fog would affect the look. Also i wouldn't be opposed to turning the fog down some. Other then that just make sure the lighting is setup for being a night map.
Edit: I was under the impression this would be a map like glacier base. Just put some blocking volumes around that upper area so people can't fall to their deaths. I figured you meant you were going to fall and land on terrain or something.
