Can't connect to the freon server for weeks now.

Hello all. I've had a problem connecting to the freon server for quite awhile now. I'm not sure if I'm banned or what the deal is. I've never been banned, so I don't know what the symptoms are. In this case, it shows the ip (216.86.152.24) and that I'm connecting, but it always eventually times out.

I really hope you guys can help me get this squared away. It's pretty frustrating when it's the only populated freon server (with regular freon players like Pixie- my thaw bot hehe, G rex etc.) and I'm forced to play some other game type. I can connect to the invasion server just fine.

Edit: I also tried the link to the server on the front page, which uses the ip 65.99.218.84:4444. Not sure why it's a different IP, but I have the same problem.

I cant explain it but you will find it at 206.212.241.60.7777 just tried it.
I will let the correct persons know and Im sure we will get the frontpage fixed. Thanks for the headsup.

Thanks for the replies, but I'm still having the same problem. I tried 206.212.241.60:7777. I also tried to connect through the server browser. When I do that, the screen reads connecting ut2004://216.86.152.24/index.ut2. Both of the IPs time out with connection failed.

I can't think of what could be causing this, considering that I don't have the problem with any other servers. I thought maybe it was something in the host file or my software firewall, but have eliminated those as possibilities.


Any other ideas on how I can troubleshoot this issue? I ran tracert on both ips and both of them made it all the way through. I'm no network engineer, so I don't know what else to look for hehe.

At any rate, I appreciate your time and help in this matter, and your providing the servers for that matter.

Edit: I tried each of the UT2004 servers from the home page and can connect to all of them except the freon one.

It's painful to see people playing through the server browser and not being able to join... Especially when it's the only populated server at times. Is it possible that I was banned a long time ago? I've never knowingly been banned anywhere, so I don't know what the screen would look like. I have a character on the DW invasion server #1 named schpammer, so if one of you admin people could be so kind as to look up my guid or whatever, that would be awesome.

I'm fairly sure it's not a ban issue, as I'm pretty sure you get a "you have been banned" message. When someone with the power sees this though they can check it through your MM info as you suggested. I'm not sure what it could be offhand (I assume it doesn't list some outrageous ping in the server browser). Maybe try repatching it.
