Yes...that subject line is a bit of an over the top statement, HOWEVER, if you do nothing then you are NOT entitled to grumble at the results of your lack of participation! SOPA & PIPA...two of the worst ideas of this century (and it's only 12! C'mon!!)

Over just the past couple days with google and reddit getting into the fray. There has been a shifting in the legislative polls. Sopa and Pipa are currently dead in their tracks for now.

Don't think for a minute this fight is over. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of the supreme court ruling on citizen united, basically creating corporate person-hood. This is the biggest problem in the coming future. Money buying votes has been a big problem for years. It's simply gotten worse with recent rulings.

There are a number of groups. A couple have merged. If you really want to save the internet this is the fight. Otherwise big money will get it's way. It was getting close this time, next time we may not be so lucky.

Update: Both SOPA and PIPA have been indefinitely postponed. We will continue to take updates about lawmakers at sopa@propublica.org

As popular Internet sites shut down or blacked out in protest on Wednesday, users flooded our SOPA Opera news application and inboxes to let us know what their members of Congress were saying about SOPA.
