Hello! I wanted to remind everyone that plays on our Monster Mash servers what they need to do whenever we perform an update. Certain files are changed when we do updates. Some of these files remain in your UT cache all the time. To avoid mismatch errors, you will need to completely exit UT, restart and then join the server. If you have uncached any of these files into your UT folders you will also sometimes get version mismatch errors when you next try to connect to the server. To solve this problem, close UT and locate the exact file listed in the error message in your UT folders (usually the System folder) and delete it. Restart UT and join the server. Whatever files you need to play on the server will be downloaded to your computer automatically by UT. To save yourselves from future problems like these, I would advise that you don’t uncache files with the .u or .upl extensions as these are usually the file types that are subject to changes. Not only for our servers, but any others out there that you may play on that run custom content.
If you're still having trouble, drop us an email: clandw at clandw.org or you can check the forums for additional information or to post a request for help. |
