I did have fish and chips in newspaper at the seaside.
I had trouble convincing the kid I was with that the lake I grew up next to was bigger than his little ocean there.
I was at a McDonalds in Inverness where they tried to sell me catsup. WTF brits?

I dont know you supposed to try the local "delicacies" when you go abroad. Some people just havent got manly enough stomaches to handle a decent curry or a big pile of mushy peas. The next day can be slightly painful if your not used to it lol.

Zeus, catsup is like tomato ketchup but has a spicy twist to it. I've never eaten it myself but i've heard it's alright. Mind, the Scots do have strange tastes in foood.....they eat Haggis which is the intestines of a sheep or pig, minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally boiled in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours! Fook that for a game of soldiers! And the men wear skirts up there too.......
Very nice pic of fish and chips K. Looks like they're from a proper Chippie, not a chinese chippie abomination!

Monkey its strange that you mention that because the chippie I went to down south was run by a chinese family....
And catsup is no where neer as good as ketchup mixed with lee and perins ! Thats the mutts nuts.

Don't get me wrong, the Chinese produce culinary flavours that could have been at the last supper, but fish and chips/gravy/mushy peas......leave it to the professionals! Now, beer on the other hand, they have a knack of producing a beer that is just on another plain. Ladies and gentlemen, i ask you to raise your glasses to Tsingtao. It's as strong as their army but smooth like a Ninja. :evil5:
P.S - Lea & Perrins FTW

And Tsingtao beer is the shit ! We have that at our local chinese / thai resteraunts and I always end up hammered on the stuff. Definatly a good beer.
