I was just curious as to what everyones favorite gaming mouse is. I have a Logitech thumb trackball....I like it because I dont need to sit at a desk using a mouse pad. KK got a laugh out of my playing position(shut up pervs lol)
I was just looking at the Razer models, which to me look kind of nifty, but looks don't always mean performance.

Technically speaking the MX500 has the best tracking. I personally love the braided cable on my G5 as it makes sure the cord doesn't tangle. I'd probally get the 518 becuase it offers a mix between these too features and I believe you don't have to install resource hogging setpoint drivers.

Quite a variety...I think the G5 has the popularity among the players here.
I was looking at these below...they seem to get good reviews.

Nothing wrong with sticking to he basics, but there comes a time when you have to reach in that wallet to keep up with the "game". Example UT3...I think everyone here is looking at new video cards. The old ones may work, but not as well. I havent bought anything in a few years, but now I'm looking at rebuilding my PC a bit at a time, which in keeping with this post includes looking at different mouse.

Love my Logitech G5!
The Logitech 518 is a close second in my book.
I tried out the various Razers...and didn't like the feel...they have a very low profile and the two thumb buttons were hard to distinguish between..at least for me.
