Problem running UT2004

Ok, so I've been away from UT2004 for about a week or two, and today I decided to get on and mash some monsters. Unfortunately, when I go click on Unreal Anthology launcher, and chose UT2004, it begins to load until a window pops up saying:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Windows - No Disc
Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, in an effort to fix the problem, I reinstalled Unreal Anthology. after the installation, I tried it again, and the same message appeared. I also went into the program file to find the UT2004 launcher and run it without going through the anthology, and the same problem occurred.
The game did work just a couple weeks ago. The only changes that have been made to my computer since the last timeI played UT (as far as I know) was the installation of a few games.
Gunz: The Duel
Grand Chase
Any help would be greatly appreciated, other ways, I may not return to Monster Mash for a very long time.

Methinks you have a virus.
Did you download any of those games from a bit torrent? Do you have any active antivirus software running on your machine?

The games were downloaded from their official sites.
Gunz: The Duel at
http://www.ijji.com
and Grand chase from
http://grandchase.ntreev.net/
I have never used any type of torrent on this computer.
I do run AVG, and I have the anti-virus software active, and the last scan was yesterday at 3:00PM PST, and there were no detected viruses.

Well...there's no telling these days where some of this stuff gets in...I was browsing some textures for Photoshop the other day and got zapped...AVG alerted on one of the attacks, but didn't catch another. Fun!
I've used ComboFix with good results when AVG fails to nab all the culprits. It's good about ferreting out the pesky files that like to lurk in your system file folder, masquerading as legit .dll files. Here's a link to a page where it'll tell you what ComboFix does and where to download it: http://www.myantispyware.com/2007/10/08 ... ware-tool/
I also like to visit here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ for news and updates on what malware is up to..they've also got some pretty good tools.

Check out your UT2k4 winpatch 3369 to see if it's corrupted or anything. I think that's the patch where you can run UT2k4 without the disc. If anything, reinstall the patch.

Any idea where this file can be found? Looking around in the program file, I have no clue as to where it would be, or what it would be named.

Wait, so you never downloaded the patch? Does this mean that the Anthology already includes this patch?
The way you can tell whether you have this patch or not is to go to the server browser & see if the number in the upper right corner reads 3369.

Well, no I have never downloaded any patch for Anthology....
Any way, Wail and I were able to find a solution. After looking at forums and such, we (and by we I mean Wail) came up with a solution.
What we (Wail) decided to do was restart my computer, plug in my video camera via USB, take the SD card out of the camera, then eject the camera from the computer.
After this, UT2004 ran just as normal. Apparently, this is a problem that has occurred in programs such as quick time, itunes, and even the windows operating system. I guess it has something to do with an SD card or a device using an SD card being ejected from the computer improperly. As to how this effected UT I have no idea.

Holy cow! Talk about something out of the blue! LOL! Glad it wasn't a virus after all! Pretty weird combination of events though! My experience with the "no disk" thing -was- with a virus...after I got the nasty thing, I couldn't run Photoshop...I kept getting the same kind of error as you did, Watty. Crazy stuff!
