After i finish up subrosa, it's on to the next project. your opinions?
choice 1) CTF-PhilaeNight, DM-CanyonNight . . . look at these to see wtf.
choice 2) i considered doing something creative with amazing gardens. one thing was to quarter the area of the map, (it's a huge map with about triple the run time from corner to corner) double the height of all the walls, and put little hidey areas into the 2nd floor.
choice 3) there's the next in the alphabetical listing of assault maps. i dunno what it is, but i know i'd wind up cutting quite a bit out. glacier even has a couple of other areas that could be modified.
choice 4) do something original. i'd use the shit out of meshes, probably buildings of some kind or something canyoney.
choice 5) i could go back and mod maps that i consider complete. while playable, duststorm and aswan could use about an hour of work each. aswan needs some color cues as well as survivability. And yes i would FIX fix that roof on duststorm, while makining the hidey holes better.
Ultimately, i could rip some of the meshes/buildings from Blackhawk and make it a really NICE looking map. right now it's all brushes and about 10 hrs later you wouldn't recognize it.</daydream>
But 10 hrs on that one map is worth at least 3 other maps. I'd rather do 3 new maps and get closer to my goal of not having to play shit like chakass or ass of doom. or empty asses. or arena of ass. you get the pic.
