40 Shards wrote:There are several Ripper files which you need if you want to use it in the map; AFAIK the Enhanced Redeemer is on Choco's Dome of Doom, and the file is called EHRedeemer.u . Once you've played a map with either in just extract the file(s) with a cache extractor and you should be good to go.
Be careful when extracting it. On my system it is always classed as missing or corrupted in the extractor.

After a long time of not doing anything about this map, I decided to finally try and end the problems with this map.
The Link:
http://www.filefront.com/17438373/DW'sS ... cility.zip
Can anybody please tell me if they can open it in unreal ed? If not, go
HERE and download the dependency check program. After you get it, drag-and-drop it on your desktop and then click browse/c:/ut2004/maps/DM-DW'sStorageFacility.ut2 and then click go. Check the "needed files" button and send me a reply please.

List of missing Packages:
- 2009BenderAnim
- 2009BenderTex
- stakeoutanim
- stakeoutmeshes
- stakeoutsounds
- staekouttex
- stakeoutwings
Some side notes here:
You should remove the apostrophe in the map file name.
Judging on some of the system file names here, it's awfully risky to place custom weapons into your map.
First concern is it stable? Does it have a high risk for crashing the server?
Second concern is making sure it's compatible for RPG. Does this weapon conflict with weapon speed?
Third concern is it balanced? Any new modder can easily make a weapon that does twice the super shock damage and triple the shooting speed.
Last thing to ask:
Do you really want a random Bender character looping through all of its animations? Seems completely random. It'll save you the trouble from uploading the textures and animations. It'll also save other players from having to download that.[/color]

Thanks for your time Ant! :ssmile:
You are right about the custom weapon. Come to think of it, it's overpowered and can kill a Lucifer in a simple manner. I'll take the mamba pike and stakelauncher out of the map.
As for the 2009 bender static mesh, it somehow appeared in my map and I unfortunatly don't know how to get rid of it.
Again, thanks for the help.

You've placed a vmesh actor in your map.
If you go to search for actors on top of the editor, and type in vmesh, you should see "VMeshActor0"
Double clicking that will snap all viewport cameras to that actor and select it. Simply press the delete key on your keyboard to remove it from your map.

Thanks.
Here is the version without errors, this time I am sure of it :ssurprised:
Just wondering, what should I put instead of an apostrophe in the name?

Are you implying that you're going to update the link soon, or do you want us to check out the current version the link supplies?
As for the apostrophe, I have a feeling that isn't a valid character you can place in a file name. You should expect some problems if nonstandard characters are used in file names. To be safe, you should remove it. You can modify the title with these variations: DM-DWsStorageFacility, DM-DWStorageFacility, DM-StorageFacility, etc...
Note: Underscores and hyphens are standard characters. If you want you could set the name to be, DM-DW_Storage_Facility.

No, the newest link in the chat box is the real working one because I didn't test the one before that. :sthinking:
You can change the file name to whatever you think sounds best when it is being tested online or wherever.
Although I prefer DM-DWsStorageFacility or DM-DWStorageFacility.

Apostrophe is a valid character in the file system but UT doesn't seem to like it in its filenames, at least not for maps.
As for the map, why are there still dependencies on the Bender files if Bender was removed from the map? The editor crashes if the Bender files aren't present.
Also UT won't even load the map, even with the Bender files present. There are no errors either.

No I'm pretty sure it does load, and it even showed up in the map list of DM and I got to play it. It was a smooth run, too.
Are you sure you got all the files moved and you got the right zip? It's the newest one on this page.
You need the bendertex, benderanims, benderstaticmesh, moverrifle.u, and of course the map.
